English Language Challenges at University

Learning English at the university has become a whole adventure to me because I could learn how to express myself in front of someone else, talking with my partners, talking and learning about some funny facts about some words and its origin. For me it’s a great experience, the air I breathe in this class is all full of good vibes, nice people and lots of fun in our own way.
The use of blogs it’s a good learning tool because we can focus on writing down about some topics of our interest and make relation with our partners and read their opinions, make a place of discussion with them and learn more about the interests of our generation and things we could make as a professional someday.
I think that I need to improve pronunciation and learning new words and expressions used by different countries that speak English by talking a bit more with foreigners, watching videos on YouTube and practicing those words and expressions in front of a mirror like if I was practicing before singing, to see my breath, facial expression, how long does it take me to emulate the accent, for example, the British accent.
I usually use it to find information to study almost every day, to communicate with some friends from another country and socialize with them. My best friend when I was 14 is from USA and they’re a very nice people and it was a great opportunity to learn more about them. I hope I could use it a lot someday soon.

Changes to my study program

The changes I could expect for my study program are improving the Chemistry subject and making changes in the methodology of Introduction on the calculation, since the latter starts in a way that I consider is not suitable for students who are entering the university for the first time and do not know the basics like logic for algebraic expressions. The way it is functioning now makes the students feel far away from others that had the opportunity of studying on a private school.



For my career specifically, it could change its vision, we are prepared to look forward the process of production on big industries, but that is just a bit of all we can do as Food Engineers because we can focus on marketing, food quality control, the economic area of companies that produce food or those that are in charge of making them reach the population. That's why I expect a change of vision and mission for me and my partners because it could make us open new doors to our professional life. Also, we could focus more on other types of food too, our program actually make us work in meat products a lot more than dairy products and vegetable raw materials. If the program changes, I think it could have more workload and length of studies by adding some subjects or modifying which already exists. It could change the use of technology and the teaching methods too and will require better laboratories for us all.

What is your opinion about violence on television?
In my opinion, violence on television must be censored and limited only for adults because those behaviors draw attention to children and teenagers who imitate what they have seen on it. 



What is your opinion about buying instead of adopting pets?
I'm against buying instead of adopting pets because there's a lot of pets abandoned in streets that need so much a home that loves them and give them what they need. There are some shelters for rescued pets that are collapsed because it's impossible to save all of them because the shelters don't have enough money.





What is your opinion about legalizing marijuana and other drugs?
I'm totally against of its legalization because people don't take it seriously; drugs (any kind of them) can do an irreparable damage in their lives and in their mental health. I've had very tough experiences with them and I don't want to see anyone suffering like my family and I did.


What is your opinion about having an exotic pet at home?

In my opinion, if the person who wants an exotic pet can get it in legal ways and can take all the responsibilities and care that those pets do need to survive, and above everything, can make them feel safe and loved, I think it’s all right with having an exotic pet.





What is your opinion about climate change?
Climate change it's HERE and IT'S REAL, and it will remain here and will end our lives if we don't change our habits, and if we do not do ANYTHING for the world's big industries to switch to clean energies, we'll be lost and so our planet and all the living being on it.
